You should always check your monthly bill, Electricity Facts Label (EFL), or Terms of Service from your current provider to find information on possible early termination fees. Please note, the Texas Power Switch does not cover the cost of this fee.
According to Texas law, you have the right to switch contracts up to two weeks before the end date of your current contract without having to pay an early termination fee. It is possible that changing to a new plan with better conditions and lower rates could make up for the termination fee that you would have to pay by leaving your contract early.
Through our program, we offer a unique extended switch window. This means that if you decide to accept the offer and make the switch, we may be able to delay the switch according to your contract end date and avoid possible early termination fees.
